1963 Ford Falcon Futura
John & Samerchai Carter

Introduced in 1960, the Ford Falcon enjoyed instant sales success as over 1 million had been sold by 1962.   The first generation “Round Body” Falcon was produced from 1960 thru 1963 with the convertible introduced in 1963.  Many Falcon components eventually contributed to the highly successful Ford Mustang.

John & Samerchai acquired their 1963 Futura convertible two years ago as a running project with the goal of bringing it back to the open road in  “stock” condition.

Since accomplishing their initial goal, they are now pursuing  a complete restoration of it’s various appearance items.

This Futura is powered by the 200ci 6 cylinder engine that’s connected to a Ford-O-Matic 2 speed transmission.

Due to the popularity of the Falcon during the ’60’s, it’s very easy for the Carters to meet people at car shows who are very familiar with their Falcon.

John & Samerchai live in the nearby Clermont community of Summit Greens.
They moved from Texas to Florida about 10 years ago and just recently joined the club.
