1956 Chevrolet Bel Air
“Fire ‘n Ice”
Ken Carek

Ken’s ’56 Chevy custom was initially modified by a shop in California way back in the late 1970‘s just to participate in the famous “Hot August Nights” annual event in Reno, Nevada.

Acquired in 2006, Ken soon found it was virtually impossible to touch up the 30 year old custom paint job that Fire n’ Ice had worn for most of its life, as the custom mixed colors were no longer available.

In 2012, Fire n’ Ice was fitted with a ’55 DeSoto grill and Master Blaster in Orlando was selected to apply the current beautiful paint finish which consists of Mitsubishi “Rotor Glow Pearl” along with Mercedes Silver for the top and accent trim.

Powered by a 350 Chevy crate engine that’s connected to a 700 R4 tranny,  there’s no doubt that Fire ‘n Ice’s performance easily matches her cool ‘50‘s custom appearance!!!

Ken lives in the Cambridge neighborhood.
He joined the Kar Klub in 2007
